Resealable packaging that offers optimal user convenience for cheese and meat products
Popular products such as sliced meats and cheese are good examples of products where resealable packaging has high added value. After the consumer has removed a few slices from the packaging (for a sandwich, for example), the remainder generally goes back into the refrigerator.
So not being able to reseal the packaging can be particularly annoying. The open packaging exposes the product to oxygen in the air, which often reduces the shelf life of the contents. The only way consumers can prevent this is by putting the food product into an additional form of packaging, such as a plastic bag with a zip closure.
